This nutritious Japanese Koya Dofu is cut in small sized shaped cubes for your convenience and can be eaten just by soaking it in water. Delicious with an almost meat like texture makes this a great substitute for any meat dish. 

High in protein & nutrition while being low in carbohydrates; 1 serving of Koya Dofu (20 cubes - 20g) contains 10.6g of Protein, and 100 calories. As well as 113 mg of calcium, 10.6 g of vegetable protein, and 1.25 mg of iron. It also contains essential amino acid.

Shelf-stable and doesn’t need refrigeration. Swells to twice its size when re-hydrated.

Cooking Tips:

Use 2 parts water to 1 part Koya tofu. Boil in water or water with dashi or bullion for 10 minutes. Let cool and serve.  

No stove cooking. Re-hydrate Koya Tofu in warm water for about 5 minutes each side before using. Press water out then place in clean water, let it swell again, then squeeze again. 

Great substitute of meat. Can also grate the tofu and cook it with vegetables for making pasta sauce. After cooking it is recommended to stir, stew or fry with sauce or other ingredients.

Japanese cook about 10 minutes in Dashi soup at low heat and then let  for for 10 minutes.
