It's a really useful grabber aid for a user who has difficulty bending or stretching when reaching. It's suitable for a wide variety of users, including those with mobility issues or who use a wheelchair, users with back or hip pain, arthritis or after an operation. The reacher can also be used for everyday tasks such as retrieving objects that have fallen behind furniture, or for litter picking as it gives extra reach.The NRS Combi-Reacher is extremely versatile and can also be used to help with dressing, for example, putting on socks if you can't reach your feet. It features a built in shoe horn at the end and also has a small magnet for picking up items such as pins or paperclips. You can use the Combi-Reacher to close the curtains, pick up the post or newspaper, reach for the TV remote - ideal for a helping hand with many everyday activities. Designed for picking up small lightweight objects at home, please note this product is not suitable to pick up heavy items.The NRS Combi-Reacher is extremely lightweight at only 195g (6.8 oz) and is made from a strong aluminium shaft with a full hand trigger to operate the grabber. The top jaw is fixed and rubber lined, while the moving lower jaw is of textured plastic - the two work together to offer excellent control and grip. The reacher is used by gently squeezing the trigger with four fingers to grab an item, then release the handle pressure to release the item. This makes it ideal for users with limited grip strength using a fist grip. The handle is ergonomically designed to fit the hand and shaped for comfort and control. The reacher contains minimal dirt traps and so is easy to keep clean.The grabber head can be rotated 360° so there is no need for the person using it to twist their wrist into an uncomfortable angle. Simply twist the head of the grabber to the preferred angle.
